Fix regressions incurred by commit a9a712ebbd77c77cf0bb44d65e6cfa86032d0697 on behalf of bug 372785: - do expect null type (no NPE) - do expect phantom role (don't short cut the actual check) - do expect local types (don't treat them as member types / roles)
