Simplify getting the children of a BranchHierarchyNode
Avoid repeatedly querying the ref database; this may lead to
inconsistencies when branches are deleted. Instead let the
RepositoriesViewContentProvider deal with this directly and
use its cached map of refs, like it does for tags.
